Lacuna | (n.) a blank space, a missing part
Lacuna is a womenswear collection that is inspired by the Japanese concept of “ma”, which means empty or negative space, and modern architecture and art inspired by this design concept. The collection reflects this design concept through replacing traditional garment elements, such as welt and button plackets, with blank spaces or cutouts. In this collection of garments, instead of creating design elements, such as belt loops, using an additive process, the elements are created by subtracting fabric.
